Back from Colorado and blogging .....

Having lived in North Houston for the past two years.... I have gotten a flavor of the triple digit degree heat this time of the year... so the escape plan.... Rocky Mountain National Park... Although I am not a natural camper, I always find getting away from the comforts a great way to appreciate them more... what better way to enjoy the place then sleeping under the stars....We did not do as much hiking as possible with a newly acquired dream to climb to the summit of Longs Peak one day....and I got so fascinated with alpine tundra.... the meadow of lovely flowers at the alpine level... maybe an inspiration for a new etsy store :).... The trip started with the great fortune of seeing a big black bear perched on top of a tree ... to quite a variety of wildlife... which is quite amazing... no coyotes this time... but lots of  mica, marmots, chipmunks, squirrels.... In any case, my trip ended yesterday with a visit to mother cabrini shrine in golden colorado.... and drank water from the miraculous grotto.... I felt cleansed .........as my new found friends Kathy and Kisu helped me understand.... Mother Cabrini purchased the land for an orphanage in the early 1900s at a really low price  as there was no water source.... and St Frances Xavier Cabrini struck a large red rock ... and fresh mineral water was found .... This source of spring water discovered by cabrini.... I ended my short stay with a walk around the sacred heart meditation garden and here is one that stuck with me..."Love, and god will take care of the rest..."
